Our Team

Each of our school locations are fully staffed with administrative personnel, teacher trainings, and general support staff. More information about the school-specific staff can be provided upon request. The following people are the core personnel for TEFL International and the facilitation and management of the courses.

David Hopkins, Director of Academics
David holds a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training. He has taught, developed, managed, and been a trainer in language programs in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia for over three decades. His most recent position before becoming our Director of Academics was as the Course Director at the AUA Language Center in Bangkok.
Bruce Veldhuisen, Founder
Mr. Veldhuisen is the founder of TEFL International and has been Course Director of language schools and TESOL courses in Hong Kong and Thailand for the past eight years. He holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelors of Science in International Relations and Economics, and a Trinity College London TESOL certificate. Bruce overseas all aspects of TEFL International courses and programs.
Jodi Freitag
Jodi is a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) Program Consultant. Jodi received her TEFL International certification in Manual Antonio, Costa Rica, and she received her BA in management from Baltimore International College. She grew up in Italy and has traveled the world. She is passionate about teaching and learning about other cultures. When she not helping people enroll in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program she is planning her next
adventure, baking, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.
 

Tony Glass


Tony is a native Annapolitan and brings his Honors Psychology degree, diverse work experience, and youthful vigor to the table while helping English education professionals get overseas. Tony has lived in many different areas of North America, and the experience he has gathered from traveling and working in varying areas is a great asset to those who are trying to move themselves to another country and fashion their own brighter future! When he isn’t helping you expand your international resume, Tony can be found throwing the Frisbee in the sunshine with his puppy!
