Florence, Italy
If you have a passion for Renaissance art, splendid architecture or leisurely afternoons spent by the river sipping Chianti wine, Florence is the perfect course location for you! You will feel as if you have traveled back in time as you meander through the narrow medieval streets, catching sporadic glimpses of the magnificent Duomo. First named Florentia, “the flourishing one,” Florence has amazingly survived destructive family feuds, catastrophic floods, tragic war damage, despotic rulers and devastating plagues. It is also the birthplace of countless influential painters, architects, writers, religious figures and culinary masters. Spend only one day in a city with such rich history, and you will feel forever changed!
With all this great talk about Florence we nearly forgot to mention that this is the same high quality, internationally recognized course offered in each of our 14 course locations! TEFL International is the largest TESOL Certificate provider in the world and with thousands of graduates having taught in over 50 countries, we really can make the world your classroom.
If you have any questions at all about the program please don’t hesitate to contact our Program Coordinators today.

Course Location
Our school is located in the zone known as San Jacopino, a ten minute walk from both the central train station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, and the Fortezza da Basso, a former fortress and an example of Renaissance architecture. Nearby, you will find various schools that makeup the University of Florence, the new courthouse, a cinema, and a plethora of stores and restaurants. This area is a real Italian area; that is, you will meet, eat lunch with, and socialize with Italians who actually live and carry out their daily lives in the actual zone of the school. This means that you will be exposed to the authentic Florence, and not the Florence that is created for the tourists. This is one of our goals for our students; we want you to interact with and be exposed to the real, authentic Tuscan lifestyle. Since you may or may not be teaching in a big city where English is present, we want to prepare you not only to teach, but to succeed and flourish in your new Italian life.
