What does the tuition for the program include?
Total fees: US$1,590

* $1,090 final TEFL course fee
This amount includes tuition, course materials, certification, and accommodation.
What is an average program day like?
Class time is generally 9:00 am to 4:45 pm with mid morning and afternoon breaks and a lunch break. For approximately two weeks, you will preparing to teach followed by two weeks of teaching in the morning and preparing in the afternoons.
How many students on average are in the program each month?
The maximum class size is 32, however it is split up into two groups.
What are the program’s accommodations like? Where are they located?
All rooms have air-conditioning, a private bath and are clean and adequately furnished. They are located within a few minutes walking to your classrooms, allowing you to prepare and plan for the next day in the comfort of your own room.
Can I have things shipped or mailed to me at the school?
Absolutely. The contact information to where items can be shipped will be given to you upon enrollment in the program.
Who teaches the TEFL Certificate Program?
All of our trainers have postgraduate qualifications in ESL/EFL teaching, as well as many years of experience in the classroom.
What is the TEFL job market in Indonesia like? Will I have trouble getting a job?
The TEFL job market in Indonesia is excellent at the moment. Finding employment is only difficult if you wait until the last day of the course to begin looking. With a little patience, you will certainly be able to locate work in no time, usually in the area of your choice.
What will TEFL International do to help me secure employment?
We will give you a list of schools in Indonesia and help you with resume and interview preparation. The job placement assistance program is an integral part of the course and is available to you for years to come.
In addition, we are now able to offer job placement assistance through our new International Job Placement Database. Once you’ve successfully completed the TEFL course, you may submit your CV/resume to be included in our job database. Schools from all over South East Asia are able to access the database in their search for teachers, including part-time and full-time positions with competitive wages. To date it has been our experience that almost 100% of our graduates are able to find quality employment within four weeks or less.
What is the average salary like?
The average salary in Indonesia varies depending on what type of school or company you work for and whether you work full or part-time.
Do most schools provide accommodations for their teachers?
Yes, some provide housing for their teachers. They may provide a room for you, either shared or single, probably in an apartment with other teachers and it may or may not be on the school’s premises, making your commute very ideal.
Do schools provide health insurance?
Generally, yes.
Do schools provide work permits?
Your school should help you secure a work permit. Information on the steps that you should take to do this will be provided upon enrollment.
What is a typical teaching position like?
It varies from school to school, but you may be expected to teach a variety of courses and pupils ranging from children to business professionals at all levels, in groups or in private sessions. Indonesia is a vibrate ESL market with language courses, private schools, International schools and a number of opportunities for CLT (Corporate Language Training).
Can I return to my own country and teach with my certificate?
Yes, it’s possible to find work in language institutes in particular. Please bear in mind that the requirements for working in ESL or TEFL in many western countries are different and sometimes need graduate education in ESL or TEFL.
What’s the climate like?
It’s hot and humid in Indonesia. Clothes are very inexpensive in Indonesia, so you may want to travel fairly light. Toiletries and hygiene products are easy to find.
How do I enroll in the course?
You must first submit an application to establish your status as a qualified applicant. To do so, please go to the Apply Now tab on this website or click on any of the “Apply Now” links. After your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will need to pay the $500 deposit to secure your place in the training. You may pay the $500 deposit online at www.teflcourse.com/payments/orderform.html by credit card, or you can pay via bank transfer. For wire transfer information, please email Inquire Now. The remaining balance will not be due until the first day of class if paying by credit card, or 14 days prior to the course start date if paying by other methods.
