Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), the capital of Bangla State in eastern India, is situated on the banks of the Hugli River, a tributary of the Ganges. It is the hub of India’s second most populous metropolitan area and is the chief commercial, financial, and manufacturing center of eastern India. Kolkata is also home to five Nobel laureates, including Mother Teresa.

Course Location
The course center in Kolkata is located right in the heart of the city. It is an easy commute to Kolkata’s major landmark, the Maidân, which is a large park containing many fine drives, a golf course, a racecourse, cricket grounds, several soccer fields, and the historic Fort William (completed in 1781) of the English East India Company. The city also offers botanical gardens, the Indian Museum, and wonderful colonial monuments. Kolkata’s varied transportation systems allow for great weekend excursions to the Himalayas in Darjeeling, Sunderban Wild Life Sanctuary, and the temples of Puri.

Other Accommodation Options
We can recommend some Guest Houses near the school or anywhere within the city. Costs around US$ 25 per day or US$ 700 a month; all rooms have air-conditioning, en suite bathroom, provides room service and cleaning service.
