Natal is famous for having the best air quality in the Americas and more than 20 paradisiacal beaches along the coast. Every year, thousands of tourists are attracted by its beautiful dunes, warm weather and calm ocean – making Natal one of the most visited places in the Northeast of Brazil. The number of visitors and investments in the city’s infrastructure have doubled since the announcement that Natal will be one of the host cities in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Natal is known for its fishing industry as well as the cultivation of mangos, guavas, salt, and cashews (the fruit and the nuts). In fact, the largest cashew tree in the world as recorded in the Guinness book of world records is located near the coast in the neighborhood of Pirangi, south of the city center.

Course Location

The TESOL course aims to prepare English native speakers or speakers of other languages who are fluent in English to become English teachers. The four-week course consists of two weeks of academic inputs – including grammar, theory on teaching methodology, classroom management; and two weeks of practical teaching sessions, which include guided lesson preparation time, observed classes and feedback from professional TESOL trainers.

TEFL International’s program takes place at SENAC (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial) Language Center. Founded in 1946, SENAC is the most important professional training institution in Brazil. In Natal, SENAC sets the standard for language learning and training centers throughout Brazil, providing students and teachers with a comfortable, modern, and well-equipped facility.

The SENAC language center is located near the downtown area, accessible to bus transportation to other parts of the city.

Course Fees

• The course fee is $1,890 without accommodation.
• Deposit (non refundable): $500 US.

Course fees do not include accommodation, but available options include hostels, hotels, posadas and home stay.
